Download my acting resume here! MY BIO I was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on September 8, 2000. I've lived in the Grand Rapids suburb of Grandville my whole life, and I am currently a freshman at Grandville High School. I've always been a little weird (in my opinion), and I see that as a good thing. I've got the makings of a complete goofball, but I am very serious about my craft and I'm committed to doing my best at it. Come to think of it, maybe those two things don't really conflict at all. I was inspired to be an actor when I was 8, when I performed in a school play at my elementary school. I played a farmer boy who saved the day by stabbing the villain - a witch - with a pitchfork. (A teacher actually played the witch, so you can see why I liked it!) I pretty much had the bug for acting at that point. Since then, I've been in several productions both in church and in school, and I'm currently taking an acting class at my high school. Of course, the most important development in my decision to become an actor was my involvement with Actors, Models and Talent for Christ - and there's lots more about that here. My interest in writing stemmed from when my dad published three books, the first one back when I was 9. If he could do it, I could do it! I wrote (and published) a few shorter stories, and am now in the editing stages of my first full-length novel, a fantasy action novel set in Chicago, which is scheduled to be released in March 2015. It's called Shadow Island and you can read more about it here. Being able to both act and write makes me more complete and well-rounded as a creative professional. There's a lot I can contribute! I plan on attending Northwestern University because of their great theater program, which can keep me perfecting my craft while continuing my education. Even at this point in my life, I know that you never stop learning and getting better. But I am also very confident in my skills today, so let's work together soon! |
